Assessment

Conducted by Sterling's Lean professionals, a Lean Assessment is a thorough examination of your operations and processes to determine the most appropriate and effective Lean Strategy for your company. A Lean Assessment is the most effective way to uncover the opportunities that Lean Manufacturing holds for your plant.

Whether your company is just beginning to contemplate Lean Manufacturing, or is already implementing Lean Techniques, our assessment will focus your efforts to achieve maximum results with minimum resources.

One or more of our Lean Professionals will spend 1 to 2 days at your site. They will review your current operations and assess past progress and future plans.

The assessment will evaluate these areas and other areas of your company as required:

Business Goals and Lean Strategy

At the conclusion of the assessment, our lean professionals will review the results with your team and provide you with comprehensive, practical recommendations to help you implement solutions. Rather than a report replete with buzzwords and vague suggestions or a thinly veiled marketing tool, our assessment report is a line-by-line itemization of specific actions and responsibilities that will have an immediate and dramatic impact on your plant’s performance.

"We were almost a year into our Lean Process and I felt we were losing our focus. After great early progress, our Lean Team seemed to be drifting. We asked Sterling to come in and review our progress and plan. After two days with our team and on the floor, Sterling had a series of recommendations that got our team back on track with renewed energy. Once again, we are progressing at a great pace." - David Welker, VP Operations
